Some of you have recently started seeing item location requesting. This is happening because of a ‘new’ feature in III 2007. Any MARC record with a volume field in it will cause a second screen to appear asking the patron which location they want to request the volume from.
When this happens the patron will need to select one location. Then if you are helping them, send the information to Cataloging where they will fix the problem and move all the holds to bib level holds. This is a great feature if we where using III for periodical receiving and circulation.
