EBSCO has created a mobile website which they will be launching shortly. We have a sneak peak at for a short 7-10 day BETA period. They would like feedback on performance, overall functionality, and cosmetic issues as displayed on your individual SmartPhone/PDA.
To access the BETA version of EBSCOhost Mobile, go to the following URL on your SmartPhone/PDA web browser and select a database(s) to begin:
Please leave your comments here and I will forward them to EBSCO.
Thank You .
I would like an Advanced Search option with multiple search boxes separated by AND. The basic search (unless defaults are changed, which our library wouldn’t change just to accommodate mobile users) can be too complicated, involving parentheses and complications.
Users would have to type the following in the basic search box:
(higher education) AND (online OR distance)
Adding further to the complication of constructing a precise search in one box is inserting field codes. An Advanced Search screen, like EBSCO has now, with drop down “Select a field” options would be ideal (as an alternative option).
