I ran across this site:
Literature Map
http://www.literature-map.com
What it does is list authors SIMILAR to the author you’re looking at, and shows how similar by how close they’re located on the map. This tool doesn’t do anything else. But, it might be useful when you’re stumped for read alikes.
Put in the author’s name FIRST NAME FIRST! (eg: David Sedaris)
http://www.literature-map.com/david+sedaris.html
Clicking on another author’s name on the map doesn’t tell you anything at all about that author, just re-orients the map.
Please tell me what you think. Does it actually do what it’s supposed to do? Test drive it with several authors with whom you’re familiar, and see if the map is pretty accurate. Should I add it to the Books and Book Discussion Groups Infoguide? (I don’t want to add it if it doesn’t work very well.)

EVPs are recordings of voice or voice-like sounds that are not audible to the human ear. The EVPs where recorded by the Ghost Hunters who will be presenting a program in October.

Small Business is now called Business Information. We have a combination of business and small business information on this guide so we decided that Business Information reflects the content of the guide better. You will still find databases for searching out businesses, websites to help patrons get their startup going or improve an exisiting business. We have also added the new Gale Directory Library to this InfoGuide (see above).
