BookBag Issue in the Classic Catalog

We have discovered there is a bug in our Classic Catalog in reference to using the Book Bag to request items.  If the patron places items in the book bag then log in to request the items, sometimes the patron will not see the list of items to request i.e. there is no table with items.  The good news is there is a patch for the bug, which we have requested to be applied.  Until that happens, recommend to patrons to log into My Account first before using the book bag.  Other III libraries report the book bag will function correctly.

What’s Different in Encore?

Now that we have been using Encore for almost two weeks, what have you or your patrons found different with Encore?

One thing to point out, if you or your patrons are using the book bag to request multiple titles in the Classic Catalog, you will find in Encore this is not what the Book  Bag does.  The user can use Book Bag to send themselves or someone else either brief information or full information about the item but no holds are placed. In order to place a hold the user needs to use the Request It link.
