  1. I think America the Beautiful is extremely well laid out, user-friendly, and easy to navigate. For anything to do with the US, I would recommend it.

  2. I like America the Beautiful better, there’s more extensive information and it has neat subcategories like Cities, Spotlights and Fast Facts which although CultureGrams does has some fast facts, it’s not as detailed. CG’s interface is more appealing but I think kids can find a lot more info from AtB and can still navigate it easily. I agree with Shana that it is nice the there’s a World Edition for CG, but I’m not a huge fan of the layout and personally like ABC Clio’s World Geography better, again because there is more useful information. CG is probably easier for elementary kids to navigate but staff (and hopefull parents too) can always help them narrow down the information they need if they’re at the library (or home).

  3. I have to say I am torn. I think culturegrams is good for country projects, but grolier does a better job for individual states.

  4. Yes but there are other things we would also like to have and we are very limited on funds so we have to pick and choose what we want to spend the extra money on.

  5. I thought Culture Grams was the superior product, but it’s too bad we can’t have both. Didn’t we at one time?

  6. They seem pretty similar. Overall I would say America the Beautiful has more information.

  7. When I compared the timelines for Nevada, I noticed Grolier stops at 2008 and CultureGrams stops at 2010.
