We have started claiming more of our libraries on Facebook. So far we have Windmill, Whitney, Clark County and Laughlin Library.
Please encourage staff or patrons to like the pages so we can claim a unique name for the Library. We need 25 Fans to get the name. Clark County and Windmill libraries already have their name on their Facebook URL.
Visit http://facebook.com/lvccldlibrary and select the Scary Story tab on the left.
You have to use one of the 7 opening lines to begin the scary tale and it can’t be any longer than 1000 characters. We’ll post the stories on the same tab so keep checking back to see the scary stories submitted by our Fans.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, add our HHM badge your Facebook or Twitter profile picture and show your support for LVCCLD.
The Virtual Library has been working hard on setting up the Library’s Fan page for the past two weeks. Today, we seem to have things in place, at least we hope so. Our URL is a bit long so to get a vanity URL before September 1, we need at least 30 Fans. We would like for staff who have a Facebook profile to go to our page and “Like Us”. Also, feel free to make comments here and on Facebook about the page. We would like to know if something is not working correctly or if you have any suggestions for doing it better.

Twitter is also setup and if you have a twitter account you are welcome to follow us. Visit http://twitter.com/LVCCLD. We are looking for library related sites to follow so if you have any suggestions please feel free to pass them on to me.
